We supplied a set of aluminum bifolding windows from LaCantina Doors to the luxury residences’ rooftop pool deck. The glamorous swimming spot features panoramic views of the Chicago River, ample lounge chair seating, a front row seat to the architectural details of the Merchandise Mart, and — best of all — a reservable indoor common area with service bar. In a manner of seconds, the windows can fold out of the way to fluidly link this mini-kitchen with the pool area… just add a bartender for the perfect party!
Even in the snow or rain, residents can still enjoy sweeping city views from safely inside, thanks to the built-in thermal controls of this unique fenestration. Poolside projects are one of the most popular applications of folding door and sliding door systems, whether they’re ground-level in the suburbs, or situated on top of a downtown high-rise.
