We simply adore how beautifully this rustic Indiana farmhouse turned out! Reclaimed Chicago common brick was the perfect choice for accents throughout the home, including three separate fireplaces and a garden greenhouse.
Choosing the perfect color of salvaged product often requires perusing and sampling a few different batches of brick. Since we reclaim and recycle from dozens of different demolition sites around the city each year, every pallet is a little unique. Graffiti, old advertisements, proximity to pollutants, exposure to the elements, and hundreds of other factors affect the final appearance of this vintage masonry.
Embracing the variety, this client looked at about 3-4 different offerings before settling on these gorgeous dark to medium pink tones. We also supplied firebrick by Sandkuhl, a dense, refractory material capable of withstanding extreme heat/cool cycles, for the interior of each fireplace.
